Dar Al-Shuyukh Association

Dar Al-Shuyukh Association (Since 1982)

Established in Beit Jala in 1982, Dar Al-Shuyukh Society emerged in response to an urgent need recognized by a group of dedicated individuals seeking to create a warm and comfortable environment for elderly and retired community members. Since its inception, the Society has maintained one core mission: enabling seniors to spend their leisure time meaningfully and enjoyably within a peaceful atmosphere that preserves their dignity and keeps them at the heart of social life.

The Society’s founding was inspired by the growing needs of an aging population segment. After intensive planning and community efforts, Dar Al-Shuyukh obtained official registration with the Ministry of Social Affairs in 1984 as a charitable organization, culminating in the election of its first administrative board on October 15, 1986.

Our Mission

  1. Operate a daytime club where seniors can gather and engage in fulfilling activities

  2. Provide premium healthcare and social services

For decades, Dar Al-Shuyukh has successfully bridged connections between elderly community members and society at large, encouraging participation from volunteers, medical professionals, and social specialists. The Society continuously upgrades its facilities and enhances program quality to serve as a true beacon of elderly care – one that empowers seniors to remain active, valued contributors to their community while maintaining their respected status.
